The surface of the sheets has various polar functional groups, which gives them high dispersibility in hydrophilic materials. This developed product is an aqueous dispersion of exfoliated Ti₃C₂ MXene sheet-like particles, known for its high conductivity. This material is expected to be used as conductive additives for batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, electromagnetic shielding, transparent electrodes, and sensor materials.
Application area
Coating Agent/Thin Film Applications: Transparent conductive films can be formed by dispersing and coating Ti₃C₂ MXene. It is expected to be used in coating liquids and film components.
Applications in Battery Electrode Materials: Suitable for rechargeable batteries. It can be used as an active material or conductive additive in lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, thereby increasing the output power of energy devices.
• Anode: Active material, current collector, conductive additive
• Cathode: Conductive additive, current collector
Increased Capacity of Micro Supercapacitors: Can be used as electrode material for supercapacitors. Micro supercapacitors using our Ti₃C₂ MXene have a capacitance density five times higher than those made from traditional carbon-based materials.
